Kate Paglia

Director of Client Partnerships

Kate has spent more than 25 years working in education, combining her love of teaching and learning with a career in educational publishing. She began her career at Pearson Education, where she developed market-leading textbooks and digital learning materials and ultimately served as Senior Acquisitions Editor in Developmental Reading. Her passion for education eventually led her into the classroom, where she taught high school English after earning a Master of Education from Lesley University. She later returned to publishing as a development editor and project manager, working closely with authors and editorial teams to create engaging, effective learning experiences for students.

Outside of publishing, Kate stays involved in the world of education as Chair of the Board of Trustees at Charles River School, a member of The Wheeler School Leadership Council, and a Governance Mastery Consultant with Middle States Association.

Kate lives outside of Boston with her husband, Mike, their two daughters, Livvy and Charlotte, and their rescued mega-mutt, Sunny.

If I weren’t a director of client partnerships I’d be: working in an independent bookstore, where I could spend my days surrounded by books and enthusiastically recommending my favorites to anyone who would listen.

My morning routine is: waking up an hour before everyone else to enjoy a few cups of coffee and tackle the New York Times word games.

I most admire: leaders who combine competence with kindness. I’m drawn to people who are intelligent, principled, and driven, but who also lead with humility, empathy, and genuine concern for others.

My superpower is: bringing people together to turn good intentions into meaningful progress.
