Grace has been working in the global education industry since 2019, with roles in proofreading, development editing, content writing, and project coordination. This diverse skillset has allowed her to “peak beyond the curtain” of the content development process, helping greatly in her coordination with freelancers and contractors, as well as her smaller editing projects with Piper Content Partners. She has worked on tertiary education content for world-leading universities in a diverse range of subject matter, including coding, psychology, business and leadership, cryptocurrency and blockchain, health sciences, and teaching.
Her love for education has motivated her to complete a Bachelor’s and Master’s in English Literature, and she is currently working towards her PhD in English Literary Studies at the University of Cape Town. Her PhD dissertation explores Anglo-Celtic colonial writing in 19th-century South Africa, combining her two fields of interest: literature and history. She also holds multiple executive education certifications, including in tertiary-level teaching from Harvard University Derek Bok Centre for Teaching & Learning, online and hybrid learning design from Northwestern University, and executive leadership from Oxford University Saïd Business School.
If I weren’t a project coordinator, I would be: A university professor (still working on this dream!)
My morning routine is: Making the most of the beauty of Cape Town by getting out on the promenade, hiking in the mountains, or having a morning swim in the ocean.
